With smart building technology, you can easily monitor the occupancy rate of an office, as well as every desk individually in real-time. By installing wireless proximity sensors on the office desks, you can through our horizontal IoT platform Yggio get updates on the occupancy rate, ie. how often or if a particular desktop is busy or free. Whether your project revolves around hot-desking or you want to optimize your usage of office space and trim those expenses, our Presence Strips for LoRaWAN are tailor-made for those needs. Further, proximity IR readings in an open/close fashion make these sensors useful for any implementations where you need to measure the presence of something - Maybe you need to make sure that some expensive equipment in the office stays in place, or maybe you need to make sure that a certain door is not being used.
In this IoT starter-kit, you will, along with a central unit (gateway), receive a collection of Presence Strips sensors that are preconfigured to make installation as simple and easy as possible. Via the interface, a cloud version of our IoT platform Yggio, you can easily get an overview of connected properties and offices, as well as a visualization of the desks that are vacant. You will also have the possibility to export this data to Excel (.csv format).

How to get started with IoT in 30 days
Week 0: Order: Order online or contact us on Fill in documentation regarding the building and current performance
Week 1: Planning: Plan the installation. If you need access to apartments, then make sure to start booking time & date in advance.
Week 2: Delivery: A pre-configured starter-kit will be shipped within ten days from the order, with included instructions on how to get started and how to mount the gateway and devices. We will also schedule a 1-hour training session to go through Yggio to make sure you get a smooth start.
Week 3: Installation: For a facility manager, we expect it to take 1-2 hours to set everything up.
Follow-up: Two months after the order, we will schedule a follow-up session to make sure everything works smoothly and prepare for the next step on your digitalization journey.
